The George Ranch Historical Park

More than 100 years of Texas History

Volunteer - Get Involved

Join us in preserving the past for future generations by becoming a volunteer. Current volunteer needs include working with school children in education programs, maintenance & restoration of historic houses, volunteer tour guides, greeters, costume sewing, gardening, landscaping and more!

Park Interpreters

The George Ranch Historical Park always invites interested volunteers to apply for positions as Park interpreters. The Park utilizes four different historic settings to stage programming representing life in Texas from the 1820s through the 1940s. Most interpretive jobs require period costuming (provided by the Park).

Successful candidates will be outgoing and eager to share knowledge and experiences with visitors of all ages, and from all over the world. They'll also have a positive attitude, the ability to work with people from wide backgrounds and have an interest in local and Texas history.
