The George Ranch Historical Park

More than 100 years of Texas History

Historical Meals

Experience Texas history in a unique way with one of our authentic historic meals! Add a little extra to your Saturday tour with one of our historic lunches at one of five historic venues. If you favor a fancier fare, try our evening dining experience at the 1860s Ryon Prairie Home. We have a meal for every tastebud!

Saturday Historic Lunches

Dine on savory grilled pork at the 1830s Jones Stock Farm or sample some real Texas-style barbecue at the 1930s Bachelor House where cowboys would rest and relax after a long day working cattle.

Meals are held each Saturday and rotate through five historic venues. Menus are changed to reflect the site. Advance reservations are recommended. Meal prices do not include general admission to the Park.

Savor the historical flavor of Texas with a gourmet eight-course dinner by candlelight at the 1860s Ryon Prairie Home.

Costumed wait staff will greet you as the evening begins with a tasteful interpretation of historical dining. Colonel William Ryon will entertain and educate you with tales of Texas from a time gone by while our personal chef, Nick Castelberg, will guide you through a dining experience like no other.

Evening dinners take place on the third Wednesday of every month; reservations are required.
