Join us for a historic Christmas activity class this month!

Tuesday, December 1, 2015

Christmas in the Park starts in just four days and we’re running around like crazy getting everything ready for our historic Christmas celebration! There’s nothing quite like a Park Christmas, and we’ve got a special bunch of historic activities planned for Dec. 5. 12, 19, 22 and 23. Most importantly (for the kiddos, at least!), Storytime with Santa will take place at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Then, at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Dec. 5, 12, 19, 22 and 23, we’ll feature a different hands-on holiday history craft class. Cost is just $3 per person! Here’s the schedule:

December 5: Marbled Wrapping Paper
Not satisfied with the patterns you find on wrapping paper? Make your own this year by learning the art of marbling paper.

December 12: Raffia Leaf Ornament
Use raffia leaves to create a Christmas ornament showcasing a treasured photograph.

December 19: Chocolate Creams
Nothing says holiday like a tasty treat! Use our wood-burning stove to create chocolate candy from an 1885 recipe.

December 22 & 23: Spool Knitting
Learn how to use a spool to knit your own Christmas decorations.

We hope to see you out at the Park this month! Want to learn more about Christmas in the Park, Campfire Christmas or our New Year’s Eve Historical Bash? Give us a call at 281-343-0218 or send us an email!
