Enter your favorite photos of George Ranch Historical Park in our Student Photography Contest and help us create our 2015 calendar.
Who can enter the contest?
Amateur/Student Photographers between the ages of 5 and 17
How do I sign up?
Send an email to photocontest@georgeranch.org to request you official entry form, fill it out completely, and send it back along with the photos you would like to submit in the contest. PLEASE NOTE: Photos must be submitted in JPEG or JPG format via email or CD. All digital images must be 10 megabytes or smaller. Please email each photo individually so assure they are received in a timely manner.
How many photos can I submit?
The subject of each photo must fit into one of these categories:
a. 1830s site – The Jones Stock Farm
b. 1860s site – The Ryon Prairie Home
c. 1890s site – The Sharecropper Farm, Blacksmith Shop & Davis Victorian Mansion
d. 1930s site – George Home & Cattle Complex
e. Park Nature
The minimum entry fee allows for 1 photo in each category, 5 photos total. You can also enter as many additional photos as you would like after the first 5.
How much does it cost?
Just 5 bucks! The minimum $5 entry fee pays for 1 photo submission to each category. Additional photos are $5 each. PLEASE NOTE: A contestant submitting 5 photos (one taken at each site) will pay an entry fee of $5. A contestant submitting 5 photographs (all of the Jones Stock Farm) will pay an entry fee of $25

When can I get started?
Right away! Visit the George Ranch Historical Park any time during regular operating hours: Tuesday – Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and start snapping some shots. Did you already take some great photos during a previous trip to the Park? As long as they were taken after August 1, 2013, they are eligible for submission in this year’s contest.
