1830s “Before Thanksgiving was Thanksgiving” Lunch

Though Thanksgiving as we know it is one of our more modern holidays, its roots began in the harvest festival traditions of our ancestors. Journey back in time with us to the beginnings of this important holiday for a special meal at the 1830s Jones Stock Farm, which includes a whole roasted hog for your dining pleasure.

MENU: Whole Roast Pig (no head), Pinto Beans with Ranch Bacon, Corn with (mild) Fire Roasted Chilis, Dandelion Greens w/ Fat Back and Potato, Pan D Campo bread, Savory Sweet Potato Pone, Corn Bread, Cracklin Bread, Assorted Pickled Vegetables, Piggy Sauce, Blackberry Cobbler, Peach Cobbler, Apple Cobbler, Ice Tea, Water

COST: $15 for adults ages 13 and older, $12 for children ages 5-12 and $4 for children 4 and under.
