Black Cowboy Education Day
Bring your school group to Black Cowboy Education Day at George Ranch Historical Park! Students will tour the park and discover what life was like for Black Cowboys who worked at the Ranch in the 19th and 20th centuries. In addition to regular house tours, there will be:
- Horse and Cattle Demonstrations: focused on the Black Cowboy legacy
- Mock Branding Station
- First-hand accounts of life in the “Bachelor House” by George Ranch Cowboy Johnny Hudgins
- Texas Longhorn Round-up at the Rail Car
- Buffalo Soldier Camp
- Cast Iron Cooking Demos
