Our visitor center flooded in May, so please follow the signs to the temporary visitor check-in location at the historic Post Office building. Cattle demonstrations take place at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. only, so come early!

Breaking Stereotypes: Women in Unexpected Roles

Women have defied stereotypes for millennia, continually stepping beyond what were considered to be “female roles.” This year, for Women’s History Month, come out to the Ranch and meet the women who are stepping beyond tradition by running a ranch, working with steers, running a Chuckwagon or forging steel in the blacksmith’s shop!

Learn how to rope like a pro, tie down a steer and ride our bucking barrel without being bucked off.

Introduction to Blacksmithing for Women Workshop

10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Sign up for an Introduction to Blacksmithing workshop at our 1890s working blacksmith shop. Up to 4 participants a session can join our blacksmith behind the barrier and get a basic introduction to the art of blacksmithing. These 90-minute workshops cost $30 per person and are a great introduction into this historic craft! Advanced reservations are required.
