Kick-off of The Great Pumpkin Round Up
From October 23 to November 27 visitors are invited for the first time to visit The Great Pumpkin Round Up at George Ranch Historical Park. Come see what local designer, Lucas Chavez, has created from two semi truckloads of pumpkins, gourds, and squash from Floyada, Texas. Inspired by the 17 year tradition at the Dallas Arboretum, Chavez’s display will feature a western chuck wagon, training carriage, antique plows, and much more. The Great Pumpkin Round Up will be the perfect place for an unforgettable fall photo.
The experience requires purchase of a regular admission ticket to the George Ranch Historical Park and includes a giant haybale maze and other weekend children’s activities. Plan to spend the day and discover more than 100 years of Texas history with a trip through time! Located on a 20,000-acre working ranch, the Park is divided into four time periods (1830’s, 1860’s, 1890’s and 1930’s) and features historic home tours, costumed interpreters, hands-on activities, cattleworking and blacksmithing demonstrations and more!
