On May 11, we celebrate mothers at the George Ranch Historical Park!
- at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. & 2:30 p.m., learn how to defend your home with black-powder target practice at the 1830s Jones Stock Farm.
- Learn the art of cooking using a wood-burning stove at the 1860s Ryon Prairie Home.
- Explore the evolution of women’s fashion with a historic clothing display at the 1890s Davis Victorian Mansion.
Mother’s Day Victorian Luncheon:
Experience a true Victorian event at our special Mother’s Day Victorian Luncheon. Learn about 1890s Victorian tea etiquette while enjoying a scrumptious full tea (savories and sweets) that any mother would love.
Finger Sandwiches: Egg Salad, Chicken Salad, Ham and Cheese & Smoked Salmon

Weather permitting, this special historical event will be held in the beautiful 1890s Davis Victorian Home Yard at noon. Big, floppy hats are encouraged, but not required. This event is recommended for adults and children age 7 and up. Cost for the meal is $20 for adults ages 13 and older; $15 for children ages 7-12.
