Traditional Blacksmithing Skills II
This 7-hour continuation course will help participants progress further in blacksmithing skills and practice. Topics include forge use and care, heat treating, annealing, quenching, normalization and tempering. Students will make a project to take home
Restrictions: This class is open only to participants who have attended the initial skills class or have forging experience.
Students must wear cotton or wool clothing (no synthetic materials) and closed-toe shoes. Costs of materials are included in the cost of class. Students also must bring their own eye and ear protection.
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: Blacksmith Shop (Meet at GRHP Visitor Center)
