TRICK OR TREAT THROUGH HISTORY AT GEORGE RANCH HISTORICAL PARK
Spooky dinner + nighttime walking tour also offered at ‘Ghosts and Grub’ event

RICHMOND – Explore the spooky side of history on Saturday, October 31 at the George Ranch Historical Park! The Park will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Halloween day, and each of the four historic sites will feature a scavenger hunt, trick-or-treating and historic activities such as the “Cup of Fate” and nut prognostication. A children’s costume contest will be held at noon at the 1930s George Home treehouse. Prizes will be given to the top three costumes! Cost for all activities is free with general admission.

That evening, guests ages 12+ are invited to attend “Ghosts and Grub,” which includes a spookingly-delightful dinner at the 1830s log cabin and nighttime walking/ghost tour of the Park. Guests will learn about local ghost legends and otherworldly encounters our staff members have had in the historic homes. Ghosts and Grub will take place from 7-10 p.m. and tickets are $20 for all visitors. Reservations are required and are non-refundable. Note: This tour will incorporate more than a mile of walking, so sturdy shoes, steady nerves and flashlights are encouraged.
