Christmas is coming to the Park this year in all of its historical glory. Travel through Christmas pasts as we explore the customs and decorations from 1830s to the 1930s! Please note that we are closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Ongoing Activities Included with General Admission:

1830s Jones Stock Farm: Learn about the Yule Log and how to decorate using simple greenery. Sample Mexican hot chocolate.

1860s Ryon Prairie Home: Enjoy an 1860s Christmas treat while observing decorating trends of the time using greenery, homemade ornaments and orange pomanders.

1890s Davis Victorian Mansion and Sharecropper Farm: From extravagant to homemade, explore the Christmas decor of the Victorian era, including some very special holiday relics from the Fort Bend History Association’s collection once belonging to the Davis and George families.

Timed Events:

Tree House Story Time with Santa: 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Cattle Demonstrations: 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.

December 2: Make your own Advent Calendar at the 1930s George Ranch Home. Christmas is coming and what better way to count down than with your very own handmade Advent Calendar?
December 9: Celebrate Christmas with a bang! Discover the festive English tradition of Christmas Crackers at the 1890s Davis Victorian Mansion.
December 16: Sugar and spice make Christmas so nice. Use our wood-burning stove at the 1860s Ryon Prairie Home to make sugar cookies and decorate them yourselves.
December 19-23: A Sharecropper Christmas: Help us decorate the sharecropper’s cabin by making traditional homemade decorations.
