In addition to history classes, The George Ranch offers an Ag Day option for high schools looking for a place to introduce their students to livestock maintenance and management. This specialty field trip includes an up close and semi-hands on experience with livestock and discussions about how they are important to Texas. The curriculum is based on TEKS requirements and also provides a fun, outdoor place for learning. Modules may include horse care, cattle veterinary care, animal feeds, chicken raising, hog stewardship, sheep care, farriers and more.
