Guests are invited to explore vintage games in every era, participate in the bicycle parade and grab a hot dog at the historic lunch. Ongoing games throughout the Park include Hoops and Sticks, Croquet and Badminton while sack races and a pea spitting contest will be held every hour, on the hour.

 

At 10:45 a.m., a vintage wheel parade featuring historic bicycles, will start by the George Yard. Anyone who would like to participate on foot can join the group just past the Dry Creek Bridge at the large oak tree on the right side. The ride will end in the Davis House Yard where a reading of the Declaration of Independence will commence at 11:30am.

 

The July 4^th Hot Dog Feast will be held at 12:30 p.m. at the George Yard. Learn about the history of the All-American hot dog and all of its yummy variations. Cost for the meal is $13.50 for adults ages 13 and older; $10 for children ages 5-12 and $4 for children 4 and under.

 

At 1:30 p.m., the Park will host its 1^st annual cobbler eating contest at the George House.  Contestants young and old are invited and will be separated by age group. Cost to enter the contest is 25 cents per person. This is a contest of speed, not quantity. The first person to clear their plate is the winner!
