The George Ranch is a living history museum that tracks four generations of one family over 100 years of Texas history. Originally settled in 1824 by Henry and Nancy Jones as part of Stephen F. Austin’s colony, this working ranch stands as a testament to the independent spirit of Texas. Explore the lives and share the experiences that molded this farming and ranching empire and shaped the history of Texas. Enjoy our historic home tours, cattle-working demonstrations, working blacksmith shop and more.
