Lone Star Stomp XXIV Ladies’ Lunch
The ladies of the Lone Star Stomp were warmly welcomed into Carole McCann’s gorgeous country home for the annual Ladies’ Lunch, on Wednesday, February 20. The annual Kickoff luncheon is a show of appreciation for the honorees and for all of the volunteers who contribute their time and resources to make the Lone Star Stomp a success.
Lindsay Lucas, Director of Development at Fort Bend County Museum Association said, “The luncheon was a huge success. I think I counted a little over 40 ladies there and everyone seemed to enjoy the food and atmosphere. Big thank you to Diane Elko for providing the delicious chicken casserole and tea, Judi Vernon for the salad and all of you for the tasty desserts. We saw several new faces so thank you for bringing friends and introducing them to the Stomp and the Museum Association. We were able to get a head start on the silent auction and altogether collected 17 items.”
Lone Star Stomp XXIV is to be held on April 20, 2013 at George Ranch Historical Park. Guests will be treated to a Texas-sized dinner, live music by local talent, The Triumphs, and dancing. Funds raised through ticket sales and live and silent auctions will benefit the educational programs of the Fort Bend County Museum Association.
