Valentine’s Day

Join us in an outdoor adventure to discover the history of Valentine’s Day! From the Decadence of Mexican hot chocolate to the popularity of the Hershey’s Kiss.

1830’s– Did you know that for thousands of years chocolate was consumed only as a beverage? Join Henry Jones at the 1830’s Stock Farm as he makes his famous Mexican hot cocoa!

1860’s– The classic Conversation Heart candy hasn’t changed much since 1860. Talk to Aunt Polly about the famous pharmacist that changed the face of candy forever!

1890’s– Stop by the Davis Mansion and decorate your history book with a fun Valentine’s Day message. And don’t forget to visit our Blacksmith for a fun craft and demo!

1930’s– Just how did Hershey’s Kisses get their name? Find out at the 1930’s Ranch House!

Tickets are non-refundable. The Park will be open from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m with special activities from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cattle demonstrations currently take place at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. plus 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
